PKVM girls emerge victorious in Subroto Mukhargee Cup Soccer Tourney

Pravara Rural Education Society's Pravara Kanya Vidya Mandir girls team has won the state level Subroto Cup for football in the under-17 category after beating Arya Vidya Mandir, Juhu, Mumbai. Pravara girls won the match 1-0 at Bhiwandi in neighbouring Thane, yesterday. They were representing Pune division.
The team has been now selected for the national level tournament, to be held in Delhi next month. The national-level Subroto Cup is open to a few South Asian countries.

The solitory goal was earned by Ankita Kale in first half. Earlier, in quarter-final match they beat Nasik division in tie breaker and Aurangabad division by 5-0 in semi-final.
The victorious team included Bhagyashree Lokare, Pragati Dhonde, Divya Khatal, Kshitija Varal, Pranjali Nagare, Sai Kale, Manisha Dongare, Aditi Naik, Rani Kadam, Rutuja More, Ankita Kale, Shivanjali Khodade, Shruti Mekhe, Dnyaneshwari Madake and Sanjana Dhale.Ex-university football player and Physical Director of school, Vidya Ghorapade-Gadhe guided them.
Players from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka are among countries that will participate in the tournament, to be held at the Ambedkar Sports Stadium, New Delhi.
Executive Chairman of Pravara Rural Education Society Dr Ashok Vikhe Patil lauded the team for their performance.This victory shows that there is no dearth of talent at the rural level, Vikhe Patil said.
Subroto Cup Football Tournament is a popular inter-school football tournament, named after Air Marshal Subroto Mukerjee.It started in 1960 and has been conducted every year since then.

Ashwini Mhaske qualified for admission to Direct II year in Government Polytechnic

Ms. Aswini Namdev Mhaske is qualified and admitted to Direct Second Year of Diploma in Electronics Engg. in Government Polytechnic, Ahmednagar. She passed Higher Secondary Vocational Course (XII) in Electronics Technology from PKVM with 78.31% marks.

Ten other students of her batch also are admitted to Direct Second Year of Diploma in Electronics Engg. in Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Institute of Technology & Engineering,(Polytechnic),Pravaranagar.

Primary School students shine at Manthan Talent Search Exam

10 students of PKVM Primary wing are selected in the State Merit list in the Manthan Talent Search exam 2015-16.

The students who are selected include:

Two students shine at Taluka Level in Talent Search Exam

Ms. Nikita Kailas Dhotre of V Std and Ms. Saloni Sahebrao Tapale of VII Std secured second prize in respective groups at taluka level in Talent Search Exam 2015-16 organised by Atma Malik Education and Sports Complex.
75 students of PKVM participated in the exam held on January 17, 2016. All the students secured good marks in the exam. Ms. Nikita Kailas Dhotre of V Std secured 132 marks outof 200 while Ms. Saloni Sahebrao Tapale of VII Std secured 113 outof 200 and stood second at taluka level. They were felicitated and awarded certificate of excellance and Rs. 400 in cash in a ceremony held at Padmabhushan Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil School.

These students were ably guided by Ms. Rupali Medhe. The Principal and staff of PKVM have congratulated all the successful students.

Results of March 2016 exams to be announced on May 1

Results of academic year 2015-16 of PKVM will be announced on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 9.00 am.
The final exams for the academic year 2015-16 of STD 1 to 9 and STD 11 ended in the first week of this month. The work of preparation of results is almost over and the final results will be announced on Sunday.

The results of these classes are made available online on school website and the link will open on schedulled announcement date. The students and parents are requested to see the results online and may take printouts of the results.

PKVM under-14 soccer team emerges champion in State level tourney

Akshada Dherange in action in under-19 final

Under-14 football team of the school representing Pune Division emerged as champion in the State Level Football Tournament held at Divisional Sports Complex, Aurangabad by beating Mumbai Division 3-2 yesterday.
In the 14th minute Dnyaneshwari Madake struck the first goal which was equalled by Mumbai in the 17th minute. But Pooja Kale destroyed their joy in the 18th minute by striking another goal. Finally, Sanjana Dhale ensured Pune's victory by striking last goal in the 32nd minute.

Under-19 football team of the school representing Pune Division ended runner-up after losing nail-biting shoot out 1-2 to Mumbai Division. Sonali Chemate struck solitary goal for the team. Earlier, PKVM entered final by defeating Aurangabad in a tough fight by a lone goal.
For the National Level Tournaments 11 of the PKVM girls are seleted in the Maharashtra team. Pratiksha Warkhede, Shruti Mekhe, Dnyaneshwari Madake and Kshitija Waral qualified in Under-14 team, whereas Prajakta Daundakar, Bhagyashri Fugat, Bharati Jadhav, Sonali Chemate, Gautami Shinde and Seema Pawale are selected in Under-19 team. Sai Kale and Swejal Pawar are also selected in Under-17 team.
